Entry: My 1st chirstmas away from home Saturday, January 12, 2008

Was definitely a Christmas to remember. I did really really miss the family and our annual traditions that we have at that time every year and our annual trip from the 26th to the 29th of Dec every year. My 1st time that I wasn't around to attend  the trip as well. But I am truly and utterly blessed to have friends around that I can call my family.

Spent Christmas Eve with a bunch of friends. We had a pot luck dinner, sang carols, wished each other Merry Christmas, opened presents, played a board game which involved a lot of crapping, and talked and laugh all night. I usually attended midnight mass back home but this time I went for Christmas mass that morning. It was different but definitely something to ponder upon. Had Christmas Lunch with more friends and sang more carols and just had great fellowship. Chistmas Dinner was a blast. A small group of us had a sit down 'fine-dining' dinner, prepared and cooked by us. We dressed up and tried to keep up with all the etiquettes throughout the evening. Didn't really work to a point but we got through it with so much fun and definitely an experience to rememeber (including the adventures of cling-wrap). LOL. I would never never forget what we went through to excecute it.  The next day i saw someone off at the airport and had a nice simple dinner at home. In 24 hours, i sang Joy to the World 3 times. I think this Christmas, that was the most frquent sung song for me.

We welcomed the new year in with a big bang with bands playing and fireworks at Elder's Park.

I think I had a great time of fellowship with old friends and new one's as well. It was great just getting to know people better and I can say its truly been a blessing indeed. I sure am looking forward to what 2008 had to bring and hope it will be a great year to all!!!
